The Winnipeg Minor Volleyball Association (WMVA) was founded in 1999 by Luc Tremblay, John Tremblay, and Scott Koskie, along with the help of numerous national volleyball team players and volunteers. It began by offering mini-volleyball leagues and now offers indoor and outdoor (beach) league-play, seasonal development camps for boys and girls of all ages as well as elite volleyball development with camps and club volleyball.
Since the launch of the WMVA eleven years ago Winnipeg youth have grown to become regarded as the most competitive in the country. With national championships from U13-18 there are several opportunities in which young volleyball athletes can measure their progress on a national stage and Winnipeg athletes have clearly developed into a force to be reckoned with. And many of these athletes can trace their start to WMVA programs. For details on WMVA Programs please visit: www.wmva.ca
